Black Walnut Heavy Duty Butcher Block Cutting Board
New Item-One of a Kind! The Beautiful Food Safe Butcher Block Cutting Board is 18 1/4" wide x 12 1/4" deep x 1 1/2" high is made from solid Black Walnut. There are four removable pads so the piece is reversible. Each piece was individually compression glued into place and then planed and fine sanded to bring out the beautiful patterns, colors and grain structure created by the intricate alternating grain butcher block patterns. There are four padded feet. The piece was surface treated and hand rubbed with multiple coats of pure natural Tung oil. Keep your wooden cutting board clean by occasionally scrubbing it with a paste made from 1 tablespoon each baking soda, salt, and water. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry before storage. Tip: If you choose to moisturize, protect the surfaces and maintain the beauty of the piece, food grade mineral oil can be applied to the surfaces and the excess removed. mr² Woodworking also creates custom indoor and outdoor furniture, benches, cabinets and specialty wood items available thru CustomMade. Based upon present backlogs, the delivery schedule will be extended on custom made pieces. Items in stock can also have an extended time period for shipment.

Each piece is hand made and individualized to meet each customers’ needs and requirements. I maintain close communications with each customer on the status including pictures as the piece is assembled and finished.
Any changes or improvements to the the piece are reviewed and approved prior to implementing each change.

I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).

For Custom Mr2 Solid Cherry Shadowbox Bookcase4.8My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.
