They make amazing gifts for first home owners, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or when parents are aging out of a family home and downsizing. I will do a rough, loose sketch first in watercolors for your approval. A few notes and details to consider: - Please allow 3 weeks of turn around time. - Each portrait is hand-signed. You may specify if you do not wish to have my signature included. - This is an unframed painting that is ready to frame. - Your original work of art is painted on high quality, 140 pound Strathmore cold press watercolor paper with professional watercolor paints. As an Italian-American mother of 3, I am passionate about family and food. Many of my art pieces include fresh fruits and family recipes. A New Yorker by birth but raised from a young age in Florida, I have a great appreciation for sunshine. Some of my favorite things are gardening, cooking, being on the water and painting. My recipe art and warm balmy landscapes reflect my passions.
Both art and graphic design have never left my side (at least not for long). Creating things brought me much joy growing up and still does. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1997 with a degree in visual communication, I began working as a designer for The Orlando Sentinel. Since that time I have served professionally as an artist, consultant, creative director and designer for clients both large and small. Happily I've won a few awards along the way. I attribute this to hard work and God's blessing.
When creating art, watercolors are my absolute favorite medium. There is just something spectacular about sitting down with that sheet of stiff, white, empty paper and watching it transform into something meaningful. As a side note, watercolors are also a great medium for artists with young children because they lend themselves to being interrupted! You get the best results when letting the paint dry between glazing layers. My main inspirations comes from things that I love and care about. Have a look at a few of my collection of Culinary Art, Water's Edge or my local paintings of Oviedo and Florida.
When teaching and designing for clients, I love learning about people's passions, styles and their businesses. The process of interviewing a client and discussing their branding and marketing needs, then converting those words into a visual solution inspires me. My first goal is always to gain an understanding of their vision and design needs. Taking this time up front is what provides results that my clients are thrilled with!
