This was one of our first metal and wood tables where I really felt that we had achieved something special. It has a well proportioned, unique style where the ironwork so handsomely complements the beauty in the great reclaimed wood. The first time we crafted this table, we were exceptionally lucky to find a once-in-a-lifetime batch of reclaimed cherry. The wood came from floor joists from a plant owned by Thomas Edison. They build phonograph cabinets in this New London Wisconsin facility. Most of the building had hemlock floor joists. However, this one little section had a mix of cherry and poplar -- the primary and secondary woods in furniture building. One can only imagine that they ran out of wood, or grabbed the wrong pile… but cherry floor joists they were. I'm sorry, but we do not have any of that cherry batch left. However, this table would look great crafted in any number of woods including (but not limited to) reclaimed oak, sapele (similar to mahogany), and red elm. There is also a bar height table countertop shown with a similar design. That particular top was reclaimed, live-edge white oak. The base on this table is $850 and most tops run $85 per square foot.

We are a small mom-and-pop shop that works hands-on to craft tables, mantels, and countertops. We feel so very fortunate to reclaim old wood from the fading American landscape and to create wonderful pieces that can last generations. It is indeed a blessing. We work together with exceptionally talented blacksmiths who add true, hand-hammered ironwork to some already fantastic, well-crafted reclaimed wood pieces.
Farm Tables
Our artistry comes alive when we create farm tables, harvest tables, trestle tables, and even industrial base tables. This old reclaimed wood lends itself wonderfully to truly touchable beauty. With our tables, you just can’t help but touch 'em and run your hand across 'em.
Wood Countertops
As a returning trend, wood countertops are great. With flowing edges, unique colors, and interesting textures, our reclaimed wood countertops are even better than modern solid wood countertops.
Fireplace Mantels
These beam mantels are the real thing – many with ax marks from American settlers in the 1800s. There’s no “distressing” in our shop; it’s all original. We sand and finish to make each beam a thing of beauty. Our blacksmith partners can add a wonderful variety of accents to each piece.
