About Our End Grain Boards: To achieve the End Grain, the wood is cut into strips, glued together and then cut again anywhere from .5" to 3.0", depending on the thickness desired. It is then flipped on its side to expose the End Grain and then glued together once more. Once the surface is finished, the End Grain makes the board more durable and easier on the knives, minimizing how often they need to be sharpened. With proper care, these boards can be used for generations to come. All of our Cutting Boards are assembled with FDA approved materials and are sealed with natural beeswax and food-safe mineral oil leaving a silky wax barrier that locks in moisture to prevent drying and cracking. Wood Species: This board is made from Purpleheart, East Indian Rosewood, Hard Maple, Cherry, Zebrawood, Wenge, and Walnut. Purpleheart - Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, and it is an extremely dense and water-resistant wood. East Indian Rosewood - Has a strong sweet smell, which persists over many years, explaining the name rosewood, which explains why its one of my favorite woods to work with! Hard Maple - often referred to as "Sugar Maple", it is best known for producing Maple syrup. Native to North America, is one of the largest specialty woods in the world. Cherry - Native to the Eastern USA and Canada, cherry is very popular among all woodworkers. it's color ranges from a Reddish Brown with a golden luster, and after time it oxidizes to a rich reddish brown, similar to a Rosé wine. Zebrawood - Native to Africa, it is characterized by the striped grain that reminiscent of a Zebra. Wenge - Native to Central Africa, this wood is medium brown, sometimes with a reddish or yellowish hue, with nearly black streaks. Upon application of a wood finish, the wood can become almost black in appearance.Walnut - Native to eastern North America. It grows from southern Ontario, west to southeast South Dakota, south to Georgia, northern Florida and southwest to central Texas. It Ranges in color from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. Dimensions: 16.25" x 12.5" x 1.25" *Handle cutouts can be added at no extra charge.

She's Got Wood!

I began my creative journey at a young age always drawing, painting and assembling things. I visualize something in my head and then let my hands do the rest. I just recently started working with wood and found that it is my passion. I love everything about wood, from its appearance of the grain to the smell when it's being cut for the next project.

I have made a number of Cutting Boards, Butcher Blocks, and other crafty stuff for my friends and family. To my surprise, None of my boards have ever seen a knife. Instead they are displayed as a work of art. Recently, a friend suggested that I offer my works for sale and I thought… Why not??? I hope you enjoy my work.
