Rustic Metal Art On Hardwood
I make signs that would be perfect for you. For the sign I would make it from 1/8" steel and I would cut any words(any font) or logos out. I have a solution here that will rust the metal and then I will clear coat it. This will give it a very rich dark rust color. I usual tip the out side perimeter in white, to really make it POP, we could use other colors too. I would then put 1" or so stand off to hold the logo on a backing made from 1/2" to 3" random strips of reclaimed barn wood and hard wood. This will give you a nice rustic look. Jan 4, 2017I am so happy that Neil designed and created an iron version of Charlotte's web for me! It hangs in my hallway and makes me smile whenever I see it. The only change I wish for is if the web "threads" could have been more straight to look like a real spider's web; they are currently wavy. But Neil did great work in a timely manner!
