This harvest table is made out of reclaimed wood. The posts in the base came from a beam out of a 130 year old barn that was hit by a tornado several years ago. The rest of the base is reclaimed pine boards. The top is 3 1/2 feet wide and 7 feet long and made with a pine board frame with cypress boards set on the diagonal in the middle. The cypress came from an old corn crib that was built in the 1930's. The top is hand planed and the entire table has been finished with 6 coats of satin polyurethane.

My name is Steve Klute and I live in Northwest Missouri and farm full-time with my father and son. My family has been living on the same farm since 1920. Growing up on the farm, I was surrounded by old barns and when I started building furniture 25 years ago, I got my wood from the old building around the farm, including the barns. I found that the wood that came from old buildings, barns and fences had a look that can't be replicated and I started incorporating that look into my furniture. Over the years I have expanded into making furniture from both old and new lumber and love working with both types of wood.
My son now works with me and we make one of a kind pieces that you can't find in the big furniture stores.
Whether you want a piece made from old or new lumber or a combination of both, we design and make pieces to your specifications. We look forward to working with you. Contact me today and together we can design the furniture piece of your dreams.
