Ipe Farmhouse Picnic Table
This oversized picnic table will seat 12 plus people. It is made from solid IPE wood, it weighs well over 500 pounds. It is 10 feet long by 4 feet wide. The bread board ends really give this a finished handmade look. All of our stainless steel hardware is covered with handmade dowels cut flush and sealed. The material and build quality of this will allow it to outlast most other materials outdoors.

Atlantis Woodworking and Fabrication is a custom wood, metal, acrylic and solid surface fabrication company. We finish our projects in house with finishes which are both safe for the environment and extremely durable. We can build, refinish, and recreate or design anything you can imagine. Our company has refinished and designed small items from coffee tables to complete custom room renovations. We build in all areas from residential, industrial, commercial, and even in marine environments.
We specialize in custom everything; from, tables, benches, trim, mantles, shelves, bookcases, display cases, crown molding, countertops, cabinets, refinishing, and fabricating from drawings. We store a lot of exotic woods in house on our drying racks to ensure a stable final product. We are one of the few who pay attention to the moisture content of the wood we are building with. Our products will last and are built to account for movement and seasonal change.
We are one of the areas only GREEN/Eco finishing companies utilizing no voc or low voc products. We can get you the look your after without making a biohazard mix of chemicals for the finish. This will end up in your home so breathing in fumes is something we don't want our customers to endure. All of our stains and dyes are water-soluble and do not require the toxic solvent bases for application. This helps reduce our impact on the environment because we don't create any toxic waste from finishing supplies.

Mar 21, 2020Kevin was a pleasure to work with from the beginning until the very end on a custom table. He spent a considerable amount of effort working with me through the proposal process as I had a specific need to meet; I appreciated his considerable patience before I had made the final choice to work with him. I wanted a dining table for a kitchen nook that required a custom shape, a quarter round shape to fit a speficic area with built in benches. We wanted a table for daily meals that would hold up well and look beautiful. Also, we needed space for a family of five in an area that is not ideal for that size table. Kevin helped me work through the options of wood types until we finally decided upon a maple butcher block. In addition, I provided him with a photo of a custom metal base that he re-produced for us. He is a true craftsman both in carpentry and in metal work which is a real plus. In addition, he thought through the many details that make for a fine piece of furniture that I was not aware of and would never have asked for. The edges are properly finished, the butcher block is thick, the table base is coated for wear and tear, the base and top are connected with a metal plate etc. He also thought through the size of the base so we could squeeze in 5 people but the table was still stable. He did all of this within our budget and at a very reasonable price for the quality fo the work. Finally, the table was finished and paid for. However, with the necessary shutdowns due to Covid-19 Kevin easily could have deferred delivery. Instead, he drove the 2 hours to NYC and delivered the table right to our kitchen nook. We had paid for the table and wanted us to have it before everything shutdown. He is incredibly accomodated and incredibly skilled. Rare combination.
