For the latest available knives I've made, visit www.firecreekforge.com This is the 'Little Scout'. It is a great all around utility and every day carry knife. It makes a great hunting and skinning knife as well. This knife is pictured with Zircote wood handle scales, with a light acid etch patina. Different exotic wood handle options are available, and some of those are pictured. If you have something else in mind or don't see what you're looking for, let me know! The blade is 3.5" long, and the overall length of the knife is about 7 5/8" long. It is made of O1 tool steel. The blade is 1/8" thick with a flat ground, and heat treated for excellent edge retention and durability. Like all Williams Built Blades I hand make the Little Scout from scratch, starting with a blank bar of steel. The handle is secured with two ton epoxy and brass pins and lanyard hole. The sheath is hand stitched leather, made for horizontal carry. It is treated with leather oil for protection from moisture. You can choose a vertical carry sheath that looks very similar except for the belt attachment. Thanks for shopping Williams Built Blades!

Fire Creek Forge (home of Elijah Williams Knives) provides quality, one of a kind custom made knives and metal items, hand made from scratch.
I have been making knives for about 20 years. I first got into it after reading a book on knife making at my library, and I taught myself from there, gleaning information from other books, and the web.
Building knives was a good match for another early interest of mine, the outdoors, woods, and back country. I love the idea of being able to walk into a trackless wilderness with only a good knife, and have the skills to live comfortably. I haven't quite reached that level, but I continue to study and practice these skills today, and it serves well to inform my blade design and construction.
I also began forging some years back, and I enjoy making useful and decorative items with the simple and old methods of working iron and steel.
Excellent craftsmanship that will last a lifetime. Very nice knife, thank you!
Just received latest knife. Looks and feels amazing and excited to use it on first canoe trip of the season.
While the project was a bit delayed, the final knife, a gift to my son, exceeded expectations. Beautiful workmanship and something he will always treasure. Have ordered a knife for myself. Recommend highly.
Hands down the most beautiful knife I have ever laid hands on. I highly recommend the wood honey mesquite handle. Thanks Elija!
This knife is a true piece of art and masterfully crafted. I am extremely happy with the finished product and would order another piece from the maker any day of the week.
