These table are paired as yin and yang: one has a cherry top and maple legs, the other a maple top and cherry legs. I've customized the pair in the photographs with the Chinese symbols for man and woman, to denote which side is whose! But the carving could equally be an initial, or set of initials. The price quoted is for a single letter; I can quote you for a longer text if desired. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Endangered Alphabets Project, dedicated to preserving minority cultures worldwide.

The Endangered Alphabets Project
Since 2009 I have been carving pieces of text in endangered alphabets as a way to preserve them and draw attention to their plight.
My work has been featured all over North American, including the Smithsonian Institution.
In order to support this non-profit work (and because I love carving) I do a steady stream of custom carvings, sometimes in these beautiful, exotic scripts, sometimes in English, sometimes as stand-alone artwork, sometimes as carved inscriptions in items of furniture to make the piece unique and more meaningful to the client.
