This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.
Since 2009 I have been carving pieces of text in endangered alphabets as a way to preserve them and draw attention to their plight.
My work has been featured all over North American, including the Smithsonian Institution.
In order to support this non-profit work (and because I love carving) I do a steady stream of custom carvings, sometimes in these beautiful, exotic scripts, sometimes in English, sometimes as stand-alone artwork, sometimes as carved inscriptions in items of furniture to make the piece unique and more meaningful to the client.
Information
Most smaller items ship all over the world. Items of furniture ship within the United States.
None
Before I ship a piece, I photograph it and send the photograph to the client as a final step in the approval process. (A client may also make arrangements to visit in person.) I make and pack every item myself, taking great care and pride in what I do. If somehow the item is damaged in transit I will accept the return and refund the buyer. I charge a non-refundable fee of 1/3 the purchase price that enables me to buy materials; this fee is payable with the initial order. I am not responsible if the piece is damaged once in the client's possession, but I may be able to effect repairs for an agreed price.
