Rustic Farm Or Industrial Loft Dining/Conference Table

$4,000

This table is huge at 8' x 4 ' x 30" tall and could serve as a dining room or a conference room piece. I sold the one pictured locally but I would love to build another one! The entire table is made from reclaimed lumber. The table top consists of four salvaged, wide-plank, tongue-and-groove floor boards and features a pegged breadboard edge. Table top and base are attached using square-head iron nails - just the way these boards were joined 200 years ago when the house they were saved from was built. The table base is true timber frame construction, with mortise and tenon joinery held together with oak pegs. Some of the roman numerals cut into the lumber are those of the craftsman who built the house to mark floor board and rafter placement. I added some numerals myself to keep track of the joinery as I was building the table. Modern fasteners are incorporated into my design so the table can easily be broken down into manageable/movable sections. I can build this table in custom sizes. Please contact me to discuss your vision. Shipped within the continental United States. Possible free delivery within the Philadelphia area.

About Me
Before going full-time with furniture making in 2013, I was self-employed – for over 20 years - Most of my career has been spent building custom stairs and railings.Along with doing custom stairs I have also restored several 100+ year old homes and built several custom kitchens. All along – actually since age 12 – what I’ve wanted to do most is make furniture. Now thanks to Custom Made I can reach new customers all over the United States. I did a lot of demolition - while restoring old houses - and developed a liking of the 100+ year old wood I was taking down. It is this reclaimed wood – with all its holes, cracks, knots and color variation – that I still prefer and seek out for my Urban Industrial line of furniture.

About My Business/About My Work
My two favorite furniture styles to work on and create are Mid Century Modern and Industrial designs because these two styles are more clean lines and interesting wood selection and less about elaborate finishes or moldings.I have a great local supplier for the most beautiful live edge domestic hardwoods you have ever seen.I also have a pretty good network for reclaimed wood.
