I'm pleased to present my take on the classic slat bench design. This piece is perfect for any setting that calls for a minimal, yet modern, look. The legs are designed to create the effect that the seat is floating above them. The slat construction of the seat creates nice shadow play on the floor. Built to be suitable for commercial and institutional service, this piece features fully welded 11 ga. steel legs and a hardwood seat. The edges of the wood slats are slightly relieved to provide a comfortable seating surface. The legs attach by bolts via the threaded inserts in the seat bottom, Assembly is easy with all hardware included. As shown with a natural finish in ash and painted steel legs. 44" (l) x 15" (d) x 17" (h). Other hardwoods available. Please feel free to contact me for a shipping quote.

I honed my aesthetic skills while attending The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. I spent 20 years working as an Engineer, where I developed a passion for quality. The constant thread throughout my life has been my love for making things. I "retired" from my Engineering Career to devote my full time efforts to designing and building furniture.
Wayward Home Furniture crafts furniture using a Small Batch Process. The common components of my furniture are made in multiples - allowing an economy of scale while still accommodating the customization my customers' request.

Steve was meticulous in packing the table so that it arrived without any dings or scratches and was very careful in how he crafted the table so that it was extremely easy to assemble. The craftsmanship is gorgeous and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Steve was quick and consistent with communication and overall a pleasure to do business with. Can't recommend him highly enough!
