Award Winning Art Nouveau Marquetry Bed
This bed was the grand prize winner of the 2019 veneertech craftsman challenge contest. The bed was all done with hand tools. Sapele wood was carved and sculpted from solid 3 inch thick stock. The side tables were sculpted to resemble rose leaves. The marquetry panel is made from Imbuya Pommelle veneers for the main background. The inlaid wood roses were cut from naturally colored maple holly and sycamore woods. The leaves were 2 dyed colored woods. The side panel has a sterling silver spiderweb inlaid with a jasper stone spider. The platform has 4 solid maple dovetailed drawer boxes with soft close guides. The bed is a queen size but could be ordered as a king also. The headboard is 84 inches tall and about 11 feet wide. This is my personal bed but I would be open to selling to a person who would really appreciate it This is just an example of what the possibilities are. We can build any kind of bed you want with an enormous selection of woods. Our past projects have also incorporated reclaimed elephant ivory,brass,gold,various stones as well as abalone shells. If you can dream it we can build it.

Kirk Kreations is a full service woodshop specializing in custom veneered furniture and cabinetry. Our shop offers a very diverse range of projects. Some of our past jobs include yacht interiors, airplene interiors, wood car parts, full offices of furniture, conference tables, full house interiors including cabinets and furniture, and so many various jobs.
Our projects are in several different countries around the world.

Feb 8, 2021We had Kirk build a paint grade fireplace surround & mantel. Final product turned out great. Kirk was extremely helpful throughout the process & provided lot of guidance on getting the design right. It seemed odd to me that I couldn't source a carpenter in the Dallas area & had to go to Tulsa OK to get this project completed, but I'm glad we did. I'd recommend Kirk to anyone looking for this type of service.
