My training in art, architecture and engineering informs the range of interests reflected in my work. I've worked with renowned woodworker Roger Deathrage and served as luthier Bill Collings first employee in the highly regarded Collings Guitars studio. I spent time in an architectural millwork studio and shared a studio with three other designers building furniture and commercial fixture. I'm constantly learning and applying that new knowledge to creative challenges and have operated my own studio since 1991.

Mottweiler Studio is a design studio working across a range of disciplines in wood, metal and a variety of additional materials to create beautiful, functional objects. These include furniture, household objects, analog cameras and lighting - all with an emphasis on simple, modern design. You can find examples of my work online with the moniker parrotcam.

After initially joining the CustomMade community some years ago, things got busy and I put my account on hold. Now I'm interested in exploring some new ideas and look forward to working with the community to help bring interesting ideas to life.

Maker Policies

Shipping Policy

Area served: Located in Albany, Oregon but can ship worldwide. Shipping Methods: Shipping details depend upon the nature of the project. USPS, UPS and FedEx service.

Maker Policy

Work that is custom designed for a customer is not eligible for return. Check with me for return policies on paritcular stock items. Any items ordered that are delivered from stock or which come from a standard product line can be returned in new condition up to week from receipt of the item for a full refund. The item must be packed properly and insured for shipment. You must contact us prior to returning any item. Any damage or signs of use will require a deduction from the original purchase value to be determined at our discretion.
