I am a fiber artist whose work focuses on exploring the relationship between color and pattern through weaving, dyeing, and manipulating fabrics. My work is inspired by my fascination with nature and biology, specifically animals. I enjoy creating pieces that range from more fine-art oriented to a more functional brand of art that people can engage and interact with. I relish the idea of people forming a relationship with a piece, such as a scarf that one uses to keep warm, or a table runner used to set the tone for a family dinner. My fine art work focuses on ideas of human and animal relationships and the lasting bonds formed between them.
