I am a fourth generation woodworker. Having growth up building tree houses and working with my father in residential construction, my path departed from craftsmanship as I pursued a BA in philosophy and an MA in theology. After my education, I discovered a love for creating original, handmade, quality furniture pieces and other wooden accessories. I enjoy bringing each piece from raw wood to finished product using lasting joinery and quality hardwoods.
Contemplative Woodworking is a thoughtful approach to both the process and product. I believe the creative process to be more akin to wonder and discovery than to mathematics. Such things as relationships, leisure, hard work, meditation, and play are essential elements of what makes SouleWork contemplative.
I use only domestic hardwoods in all my pieces, being sure the lumber is either sustainably harvested or reclaimed. I use a variety of finishes but primarily oil and wax.

Because I pride myself on what I design and make, I guarantee my furniture pieces against flaws in craftsmanship or flaws in material for the lifetime of the original owner. Full refunds will only be issued within 3 business days of the initial purchase, due to cost of materials, design, etc.
