Hi , My name is Jim Baker . I've been in the construction business for 35 years and have had the opportunity to work on many customized projects here on Cape Cod & the Islands . My creative side was being held in check so I decided to trade in my hammer for a lathe !
Four years ago , after years of seeing some really unique , distinctive & creative pieces delivered to the projects I'd worked on , I opened the Village Woodworker . I like to think that I can create almost anything wood ! Furniture , Cabinets , Customized built-ins , fireplace surrounds , hutches & desks . I have a pictorial portfolio set up on Facebook ( Village Woodworker ) which shows some of my projects , most are shop photos with a few complete/installed pictures too .
I'm looking forward to years of customized service here in Southeastern Ma , Cape cod & the Islands !

I prefer to deliver my projects whenever possible . Shipping can be dangerous to a one-of-a-kind piece, irreversible damage is always possible ! Delivery can be made to all of the Cape , Islands , Southeastern Ma & Rhode Island . But with careful packaging , delivery can be arranged with a major carrier

I spend a lot of time with clients reviewing their wants & needs about their project . Materials , dimensions , colors , surrounding space , ect ... With that said , once materials have been ordered and the project is underway , no refund is allowed
