Outdoor Mahogany Chairs

$800

Clients came to me with some chairs made out of white cedar from the original Stanford stadium. They loved the chairs, but they had rotted to the point that there were no longer useable. I made replicas out of Mahogany and upgraded the areas that had the most rot on the existing chairs. Paperstone was added for feet, paperstone was also added to the slat rails to prevent rot. All screw heads on the slats were plugged. Everything else is mortise and tenon, glued with epoxy. All end grain was sealed with epoxy and the whole chair was given a wash coat in tung oil with the intention of eventually letting it go gray.
