Fused Glass Sculpture - Limitless
This art glass sculpture was inspired by the logo for Limitless Health Clinic in Ontario, Canada. It was commissioned as a gift to welcome their enterprise into a new working space. The sculpture is composed of three hand raked components. The body has a stethoscope kiln carved into the back of the glass. It and the two ribbons are attached to a central stainless steel shaft. Each of the ribbons is then attached at a second point to a separate shaft of differing heights. The three shafts are imbedded securely in a piece of lava rock. She is a remarkable artist as I first discovered when I found her work online.I reached out to her for help with the repair and restoration of a family heirloom. My father-n-law had passed away at the age of 99, and when we were clearing out his home, we discovered a stained-glass piece he had created. It had a couple of obvious breaks and was generally unstable. The truth is I didn’t know what I was looking at. As it turned out, there were many more repairs needed.
From the beginning Michelle made me feel comfortable and welcome. She was up front with her prices and open and honest in her appraisal. I was especially impressed with her ongoing project updates.
