These two handmade ceramic noodle bowls or rice bowls are certain to become your favorite. They feature two holes and a resting divot to hold your chopsticks and are glazed in a pretty layered glaze I call Moody Blue which makes every dish look like a work of art. I created them on my pottery wheel out of stoneware clay, cutting in the two chopstick holes and the semi-circular resting area across from the holes while the clay was soft. I make these in two sizes: A smaller bowl that holds 3-4 cups of rice and is 3.5" high x 6" across. And a larger size that holds 42-48 ounces of pho soup and is around 4" high x 7" across. I also make spoons to match the glaze of the bowls with a small loop at the end so they can hook on the rim of your bowl and allow you to scoop up broth. Make your choice from the drop down menu. A pair of handcrafted chopsticks is included with each bowl. I signed each bowl on the bottom rim. Microwave and dishwasher safe. See the drop down menu for choices. If you'd like a gift card enclosed with this item, leave me the wording and I'll be sure to include it for you. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind creation: Order now! :-)

I am a studio potter who works in porcelain and stoneware creating one of a kind, functional pottery including whimsical teapots and tea cups, bowls, casseroles, plates, tumblers, platters, vases and tiles.
I have studied under such renowned potters as Clary Illian, Lorna Meaden, Chris Gustin, Steven Hill, Diana Fayt, Meira Mathison, Sylvie Granitelli, Julia Galloway, Bonnie Seeman, Sarah Jaeger, and Sandi Pierantozzi. From each of these wonderful artists, I usually take away a new technique or way of creating that I then incorporate into my own pottery voice.
I am a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans and work with this group on an annual Soup Bowl Supper fundraiser, a holiday sale, summer farmer's market, and educational programs.
In March 2013, my work was featured in the e-commerce publication of Better Homes and Gardens.
My work isalso featured in Best Of America Pottery and Woodworking Artists & Artisans Vol.1 by Kennedy Publishing. And it is featured in the November 2010 issue of AARP magazine.
In April 2009 I was one of the speakers at the national clay conference (NCECA) in Phoenix talking about online selling.
