Imagine your favorite memory transformed into a gorgeous watercolor! Working from your ideas or photo(s) for reference, I'll create an exquisite custom hand painted watercolor portrait, skillfully hand drawn and painted on archival cold-press watercolor paper. I use only high quality archival materials for my artwork. My paintings are carefully planned and are very realistic…I strive to capture the personality and likeness of the subject. Capturing the detail in lovely, glowing watercolor washes is what I love to do! Don't worry if your pictures aren't perfect…I am used to working with several photos for reference to create a treasured portrait! COMMISSIONING CUSTOM ART IS EASY AND FUN! Message me along with some photos and tell me about your subject. Once I have a look at your photos, we can share our thoughts and ideas and I'll answer any questions you may have on sizes, price, etc. After payment is received, I'll create rough layouts from which to choose your final composition. As I work on the art, I'll include you in the creative process by sending images of the painting in progress for you to approve. Working together this way, we'll make sure that all the details (composition, expression, eye and hair color, etc.) are perfect! It's fun to see your portrait come to life! When the painting is finished, and you approve it, I'll carefully package and ship it out to you! I've had over thirty-five years experience in creating custom artwork and design. I create artwork using a wide range of media: traditional watercolor, acrylic, oils, and pen and ink as well as modern hand-painted digital paintings on canvas and archival paper. I use only the highest quality archival materials in creating my work.
Once you choose the subject of your custom painting, we'll work together to make it a reality. Will it be a portrait of your child, a favorite pet or animal, a house portrait or a treasured family memory? I'll closely involve you in the creative process throughout the various stages of painting. With your suggestions and input, every detail will be brought to perfection. I had a pretty unique custom pet art project that I wasn't quite sure how to make it into reality, when I found MJ and shared the idea with her, she immediately started providing many ideas, examples and mockups to help me visualize it. She had many choices of the medium too, and we picked a beautiful wood cut out format in the end that I'd never have imagined to begin with! The creation process was smooth and full of fun, not being an artistic person myself, I asked for her expert opinions on many of my thoughts and she's given me such great advice, that the final art piece turned out stunning :) I already have another project in mind that I'd love to work with her on, I'll definitely be coming back to MJ in the near future!
