Wave Bench
Number two in a series, the Wave Bench picks up where the Bertha Bench left off. Stainless steel barrels and bolts continue here but the stainless feet of Bertha have been replaced with handmade, tapered Padouk legs to match the seating surface. The supports are laminated Bamboo and Padouk. There are a lot of influences in the Wave Bench including Modern, Contemporary, Mid-Century and even a little Industrial. Nothing says Industrial like a bit of Stainless Steel wed to a Simple form. This bench is an eyepopper. It would fit in your Living Room, Front Hallway or Office. I love Padouk. When freshly milled it is a rather stunning reddish orange with black running through it but, as it ages it will mellow to a really nice reddish, purple, brown. The Wave Bench is 40"L X 15 1/2" D X 17" H and is finished with acrylic varnish. Handcrafted in my Nantucket Shop.

Willy LeMay Custom Woodworking
I am a Nantucket based Cabinet and Comtemporary Furniture maker with 20 years experience in carpentry. Over the past few years most of my time has been spent making Custom Cabinetry for a diverse clientell here on Nantucket. I work with a mix of responsibly sourced materials and select domestic and imported hardwoods. Currently I am designing and building Modern Furniture in my Nantucket shop. My original designs are most decidedly Modern, Contemporary and Mid-Century.
