Address Sign Of Hardwoods
This heavy duty sign will last for years outside of your home. I use any combination of white oak, iroko (a Brazilian hardwood similar to teak, turns a pretty caramel color when exposed to the sun) or mahogany to display your address or family name. Example shown is iroko background with white oak text Background is 1.5 inches thick with a .500 deep area to hold the characters. Text/numbers are cut out on the CNC, along with a 1/8 inch deep pocket into the background so the characters sit beneath the surface. Characters are both glued and screwed in place. The assembled sign is then sprayed with a few coats of marine spar varnish. Size is 30 x 5.5 x 1.5 inches. Depending on the characters and spaces, I adjust the length accordingly. Base price is for 13 characters, additional characters are 10.00 each.
