Memory Box

I wish I could upload a picture or two of the final product just so any reader would be able to see what I'm describing here. It took me a couple of months researching the web before I settled on Glenn as the choice for this project. I saw one of his fly-fishing rod boxes and it was a sealed deal. This is classic old-world workmanship not readily found just anywhere. In the end, it's a one-of-a-kind family heirloom now and the recipient couldn't be happier. Seriously highly recommended if you want the best, most unique American Craftsmanship for your project. Thanks, Glenn for exceeding expectations...

Glenn built a perfect custom display case to exact specifications for showcasing a valuable document. He provided a 3-D CAD model at the start to confirm my requirements and to give me a precise idea of what the finished product would look like. He also kept me informed of his progress along the way, providing pictures of the work in progress. The project ended up taking longer than promised, but it was worth the wait, as it turned out exactly as I had hoped.

My two cases could not have been better. They are expertly made, were expertly shipped and Glenn stayed in constant touch until we were both satisfied with our deal. Will definitely go back to him when needed.

The Bible box I ordered from Custom Wooden Bible Boxes is the best woodworking craftmanship, I have seen it a very long time. The craftmanship was awesome. I am really satisfied with it. The packaging was great as well. I would recommend this company to everyone.

To the reader: It has taken me a long while to think of suitably congratulatory praise for Glenn Nief and the magnificent object of Art he has created for my family. I will do my best to express it in words but it is really pictures that would be needed to illustrate all the features of the piece. And even they fail to give a full impression to the beholder. The work is a Bible Box and a worthy repository of a Book which has been in our family for over 150 years. It is shaped like a cube constructed with multiple varieties of wood which give the object a warm glow that calls for touch. The inlaid inscriptions on the top announce the Holy Book and the lineage names for the families which have held the Bible in their care over generations are inscribed. The lid opens to reveal engravings of the coat of arms of my home region (Alsace, France) and that of my wife's (Texas, USA) above words explaining that the box was my present to my spouse on the occasion of Christmas. The back-hinge is all wood and the front panel can be swung down to slide smoothly the unusually large Book out of the case without risking any damage. An unexpected compartment in the bottom holds ancient family papers, photos and daguerreotypes and the box can be locked with an ornate key for protection. The bottom of the box shows worthily the signature of the Artist. I tried my best above to communicate the beauty of the receptacle and I am so very grateful to Glenn Nief for having created a heirloom which will amaze generations to come. I did find easy to work with Glenn and the communication was good in term of answers to my questions. The product is well done. The only problem I had is the delivery. Instead the 10 weeks requested became almost 50% additional time without information that may help to understand what was happening. However in general I am satisfied.

I was extremely happy with the item I ordered, well crafted and well made. Excellent job! The order took nearly twice as long as originally stated (26 weeks as opposed to estimated 12 weeks) which did wear my patience thin, and the lack of timely communication or status compounded frustration. HOWEVER... Glenn was extremely professional and ultimately explained he was running behind. Overall I would recommend this professional as long as you understand that quality takes time. I believe the positives far outweigh the negatives to this particular transaction and I would go with him again to design and craft my next wood project.

Amazing! I couldn't have asked for better!

I had several people bid on the box I wanted to make. Glenn got the project for his professional approach, thoroughness in offering several "add on" options which I had not previously considered, and his price, which was in the middle of the bids made. The box Glenn made for me had perfect workmanship. It arrived within the time frame we had agreed. He was very polite and organized. I would work with him again and recommend him to friends.

The finished product was gorgeous! My boyfriend loved it so much he wants to take woodworking now. Thank you!
