Barn Beam And Walnut End Table

My daughter LOVES her Loft from Weber Designs. I cannot say enough about how professional, courteous, responsive and capable Dennis is. He exceeded our expectations in every way! A few years ago we had a very bad experience with an over priced and poorly constructed bunkbed. We did not want to go through that again. After a rather exhaustive search we settled on Weber Wood Designs. Best decision we could have made! I cannot overstate Dennis' ability, flexibility, on budget and on time. We will be working with Weber Wood Designs again in the near future.

This is the first time that I have used Custom Made and Weber Woods and it is also the last. These builders post photos on their profile that do not give a true representation of their work and you have no recourse when the finished product is not completed as described.
I ordered a custom made bedroom set from Weber Woods after looking at his profile and talking to Dennis on the phone. Dennis assured me that I would be happy with the finished product. I placed my order the beginning of February 2021 and was given a deliver date of mid April 2021. Dennis was good at communicating progress up until I sent him an email that I am not happy with the furniture that he built; now he will not respond to my messages. He did not deliver the furniture on time; he was two weeks late. The furniture that he built, which I paid $6000. for is not worth $2000. If I saw it on a sales floor I would not even consider it. His skills are amateur at best and nowhere near professional. Here are some of the issues with the furniture that Dennis built.

1. The headboard will not stay on the base.
2. There are gaps where the backer board meets the seams.
3. The drawers do not close flush and or stay closed.
4. There is no backer board on the dressers or nightstands.
5. Two coats of stain should have been used when only one was.
6. The footboard on the bed does not stay in place
7. There was no thought on Dennis' part of make the overall appearance of his work better.
   I am going to have to figure out how to fix these issues myself or pay someone to do so. Either way, after spending $6000. on the furniture, it is not something that I want or would have expected that I would be doing. And Custom Made told me to reach out to Dennis, which I did and I did not get a reply. So Custom Made is no help either.

We loved working with Dennis! He would always get back to us the same day with any questions we had. The final product (floating walnut vanity) is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. It was a pleasure working with Dennis and we plan to work with him again soon.

The workmanship on this project is appallingly poor for the price charged. I ordered because my arthritis no longer allows me to make the boxes myself. The wood still has tool marks and sanding swirls on it……. the finish is sub -standard, and the lining is terrible. I know how hard it is to do a good lining which governed my decision to use another maker. But I will not use this one again. It is just too much money for the level of craftsmanship.
