Shou Sugi Ban And Concrete Reception Desk
This desk features a shou sugi ban (process of charring the wood to preserve it) finish sealed with linseed oil. This creates a deep black finish while showing of the grain of the wood. White oak is used in this example. The counter and desktop are stained concrete, though other options are available.
