Fully Hand Carved Leather Cover For Alcoholichs Anonymous
This is what I love to do. Ornate, detailed and time consuming, the cost of a fully tooled book cover is higher that for that of often equally elegant looking covers with less detailed design elements or carving only as trim. But for those who love carved leather as I do, nothing beats a full cover pattern. The outside cover is of the highest quality carving leather. The inside is of finished calf skin but can also be made of a variety of designer leathers for an even richer look. Inside pocket panels can also be of thinner carving leather for continuation of the cover design, or customized with owners name / date. I also hand carve prayers or favorite short passages from the text to customize each cover. A variety of finishing techniques and colors are available. This cover is hand laced with finished calf-skin lace, but stitching is also an option. Whether you have a recovery book, family album, bible or favorite novel which you wish to protect. I can customize an elegant looking cover to your specifications. I make Alcoholics Anonymous covers in all sizes, pocket, soft-back, hard-back, and large print. Dual covers for Big Book + 12 & 12 are possible for pocket, standard and large print editions. I even make a 3-way cover which includes the large print 164, 12 & 12, and AA service manual. Pricing varies widely depending upon cover size, complexity of construction, and above all the amount of detail and surface area of the design.

My name is Allan and I have been hand carving and tooling leather since around the age of 12. Nevermind how long ago that was!
My initial work was in wallets, belts, and purses. But my love is in tooling larger items with more room for design and expression. I currently specialize in book covers and covers for consumer electronic devices.

Though my love and specialty is in the carving, tooling and dying of leather, I do welcome all inquiries for your leather project. I do all my own work including tooling and dying of the leather and the stitching, lacing and any other assembly required to complete the final product.
