Orange Plant Stand, Log Furniture, Log Round, Modern Table, Modern Stool, Colorful, Reclaimed Wood
This beautiful piece is multifunctional piece and can be used as; a plant stand, side table, end table, step stool, sitting stool, statuary stand, etc. It is made from a 3" thick round cut of Hard Maple that was reclaimed from a fellen log. It has interesting black line spalting and various irregular grains patterns that pop out from the tinted orange color. I decided to tint this piece of wood orange because for one it is different and for 2…I like it! It is paired with 3 three-bar steel hairpin legs to add an industrial, mid century and modern twist on the natural top. It is stout and can handle anything you place on it! Finished in a home made satin poly mixture to resist moisture and protect the wood from the daily grind. Measures 13" H x 14" x 11 1/2" & the top itself is 3" thick. Add a twist of modern nature to your home! This would be a great small and functional piece that would give that color POP you've been missing!

Kentucky LiveEdge is operated by craftsman Drew Gahafer. He creates quality live edge furniture and unique applications for home and office.
Drew Gahafer is a self-taught woodworker, artist and furniture designer that got his start by upcycling furniture that was either thrown away, neglected, or purchased for mere pennies at yard sales or consignment shops. Plastics, glass, metals and wood were all materials that he was intrigued on refurbishing and building with. In 2008 he built his family home, which was a narrow shotgun style house. After weeks of housing the traditional square coffee table, he realized the dimensions took up 1/3 of the rooms space. In an effort to create something customized for his home space, he traveled back to his roots and brought back 2 narrow live edge slabs from a sawmill in Eastern Kentucky. By the time his first two pieces were near completion, his family and friends made offers on both pieces. He obliged and returned to the mountains for 5 live edge slabs of wood. Once those 5 were near completion, same story. To this day, his home lacks a coffee table.
