Custom Made Solid Cherry Bookcase Or Room Divider Or Entertainment Center With Open Or Enclosed Back
Custom Made mr² Solid Cherry Open or Enclosed Back Bookcase. The bookcase is 48" W x 46" H x 12" D • Solid Cherry boards are used. No veneers. • Multiple boards used to achieve the 11 ¾" depth. • The shelves can accommodate 10 ½" tall books. • The shelves and vertical runners of are attached by power head screws covered with cherry dowels. • The partitions are inset ¾" and are attached by wood screws covered with cherry dowels • All of the boards have been planned and hand sanded before assembly, sanding and finishing. • Six (6) 2" H x 3" W x 2" D Tapered Feet. • The back is made from 3/16" thick finished maple stained and Tung oiled to match the cherry finish. • The bookcase is finished with 3-4 coats of satin finish on top surfaces and 2-3 on bottom surfaces. • When used as an entertainment center, wire, speaker and vent holes are provided at no added cost. • Multiple samples of the finished wood will be sent to the customer for approval prior to finishing. • The bookcase is bubble wrapped and protected with multiple layers of cardboard and then placed in a carton. The carton will be placed on a pallet for maximum protection during shipment. • Shipment of the bookcase will be completed with 11-12 weeks from placement of the order based upon my present backlog. • Residential delivery where available. Prices are also available for the bookcases made of oak or other woods. Delivery Schedule
Based upon present backlogs, the delivery schedule will be extended on custom made pieces. Items in stock can also have an extended time period for shipment.

Each piece is hand made and individualized to meet each customers’ needs and requirements. I maintain close communications with each customer on the status including pictures as the piece is assembled and finished.
Any changes or improvements to the the piece are reviewed and approved prior to implementing each change.

I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).

For Custom Mr2 Solid Cherry Shadowbox Bookcase4.8My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.
