For my latest hand forged blades visit www.firecreekforge.com This is a knife forged from spring steel. The guard and pommel are brass, with walnut scales and brass pins. The blade is 8.5" long, and 1/4" thick at the spine. It has a high flat grind. Included is a hand stitched leather sheath fitted to the knife. The knife pictured has sold, however I can make one very similar for you.

I have been making knives for about 20 years. I first got into it after reading a book on knife making at my library, and I taught myself from there, gleaning information from other books, and the web.
Building knives was a good match for another early interest of mine, the outdoors, woods, and back country. I love the idea of being able to walk into a trackless wilderness with only a good knife, and have the skills to live comfortably. I haven't quite reached that level, but I continue to study and practice these skills today, and it serves well to inform my blade design and construction.
I also began forging some years back, and I enjoy making useful and decorative items with the simple and old methods of working iron and steel.

For Firecreekforge.Com Tactical Survival Mission Knife4.7There were some delays (some unavoidable) but the craftsman kept in constant contact with me when I emailed him, and would usually return emails within three hours or less. In my communications with him I found him to be honest, straightforward, and easy to understand. When I received the knife and sheath they were both in good order and ready to go to work, but there were some things I wanted changed. I contacted the craftsman, explained what I wanted done, shipped them both back to him, and he made the changes I requested and shipped them back. I now have the knife I wanted, and I got it the way I wanted it. I will order from this craftsman again,
