We received the table Kevin made for us and we couldn't be happier. The table was finished ahead of schedule and the quality and craftsmanship was excellent. Kevin was very professional to deal with and helped us refine our design details with great ideas. The shipping crate was very well built and our table arrived in perfect condition. I would defiantly recommend Kevin to anyone who wants a quality piece of furniture.

Kevin completed an outdoor sofa project we commissioned him for and it came out BEAUTIFUL! Everything from the craftsmanship to the communication was spot on. I am from a different state than Kevin is located and I am typically very hesitant to use platforms like this without knowing who and where someone is without physically seeing them... but, Kevin made the experience very trustworthy and his work is top notch. If you're looking for something custom, the sky's the limit with Kevin. Highly recommend and I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer again in the future!

We wanted a square coffee table with a stone top. After looking through too many furniture stores and online websites we came to the conclusion that there were none to be found. We found Kevin through Custom Made and couldn't be happier. We live not too far from his shop, so we were able to pay him a visit to discuss what we wanted. He could not have been more helpful, suggesting different design elements and wood species. We settled on using Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) and adding a Wenge inlay. Frankly, before visiting with Kevin, we didn't know what Jatoba or Wenge was. We could not be more pleased. Easy to work with and knowledgeable, Kevin is truly a craftsman. If, in the future, we need any other custom-made pieces, Kevin will be our first call. Thanks Kevin.

Working with Kevin was an absolute joy. Not only is his craftsmanship top notch, his business/work ethic makes him someone worth spending your money on. Very early on in the process I felt extremely confident in his ability to get my job done and treasured his willingness to design my project WITH me to ensure I can leverage his many decades of expertise. Kevin is also a great person to talk to and though I only met him twice in the beginning and end of the project I can say that this experience was very pleasant both personally and professionally. I recommend Kevin to anyone with an affinity towards high quality furniture and a desire to partner with someone that knows what they’re doing and can get the job done.

What a joy to work with Kevin Kopil! He delivered an entirely custom table for us that I don't think many folks would have had the vision and expertise to create, and because the process was so collaborative he made sure that we received PRECISELY what we wanted. While I know that Kevin has his own "style," he is obviously such a skilled craftsman that he can shift into the vernacular of something different without missing a beat (in our case, a somewhat midcentury-modern piece). We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Kevin did a FABULOUS job on our project. We have not received the bench yet but have seen pictures and it look exactly as we had hoped. Kevin was easy to communicate with, followed up and followed through. He was professional and thoughtful. We are so excited to receive the bench and know it will be an eye catcher as guests enter our condo. Thank You Kevin!!

I wish this review could be filled with positive feedback because the final product looks quite beautiful, though there are some major flaws. The process by which we received the final product was a nightmare. Kevin is clearly a talented craftsman, but the table we ordered was delayed by almost two months. According to Kevin, he had broken ribs, then had some other hospitalization, then a broken hip. I had to find this out by hunting him down to inquire as to the delay. At one point his wife contacted me and told me he was in the hospital for one thing, but he had contacted me and told me another story. That’s when I, after not knowing if I was being duped and not getting email responses, had to contact Custom Made, and find him on whitepages.com to get the stories straight and make sure this wasn’t a hoax (and a $2000 scam). He continued to promise delivery and the date continued to be pushed back. I finally had him agree in writing that if the table was not delivered by May 1, I would receive a full refund. He told me he and a friend (because he was unable to drive) would come deliver the piece. I would need one person to help me because the table was heavy. In May 1 he was an hour late, but arrived with the table. He was alone and said his friend couldn’t come (so he drove himself, though he told me he couldn’t). He never bothered to warn me he had no one to help him. He was unable to help unload the table, so I was stuck trying to solicit help from neighbors. The table landed up on my lawn while I tried to get assistance. It came in one piece so it couldn’t get through my door. I had to take the base off on my lawn to get it inside. Kevin took off. The table top is attached by four screw bolts, one of which was totally stripped and hence loose. By that time I realized it, Kevin had left. After neighbors helped me get it inside, I spent time trying to fix the loose bolt to no avail. Clearly this was stripped before it got to me and perhaps that’s why a table that weighs so much was delivered in one piece (rather impractical?). I don’t think he wanted me to see the imperfection. The top of the table also has a raised lip that, if you run your fingers over it, will cut you. I called Kevin twice and texted him a picture of it. He has not, and I am certain, will not, ever answer me. This was really an unfortunate experience, mainly because Kevin is clearly a talented craftsman. It is a beautiful table. But it has some serious imperfections and he, as has been from the start, will not answer my calls. Two months late, countless excuses, no communication, a flawed product, no accountability for the flaws... these unfortunately outweigh his talent. Overall, a very poor and disappointing experience.

Very disappointed with the quality of the product. The samples of the finish he provided and I approved, was not the final finish of the vanity. The vanity finish is much darker than what I approved and wanted. The sinks I purchased do not fit in the vanity, although I provided the sink specs to him to ensure they fit. He offered to modify the tops drawers so the sinks would fit, but it was at my cost to ship them back. By far the most disappointing issue was the quality of the finish. The glazing was unevenly applied to the tops of the drawers. It looks terrible. His solution was to use a marker on those locations, which made it look worse. There is one area on the cabinet when you open the drawer up, that there is no finish at all. I have pictures of all the issues. I told Kevin I want to return the vanity and get my money back, and he told me that was not an option. This website required I pay the final balance before I saw the final product. So I am at a total loss. I do not recommend using Kevin's service again and it appears I have no recourse through this website.

This was a perfect transaction and I’m so happy with the final results! Kevin made sure he completely understood what I was looking for and sent accurate renderings before building. The craftsmanship is incredible and it is obvious this was not a generic, store-bought piece. I Recommend him to anyone looking for quality work and a friendly craftsman.

I reached out to Kevin for a custom designed solid walnut desk with maple accents, and it was great working with him. Highly recommend reaching out over the phone, it's much easier than communicating via email at times. Kevin was kind enough to let me stop by his workshop and I was able to see my project at 80% completion and work out a few final details in person, which was absolutely great. That is the personal touch and interaction that makes getting a custom piece of furniture so special. The project was completed several weeks prior to his original estimate. Very happy with the final product, it is a beautiful piece that will last many lifetimes.

Absolutely gorgeous work. There was a wait until Kevin could get to our project but he was direct about this and there were no substantial surprises. The shipping guys were professional and prompt. We intend to ask Kevin to do more work for us in the future.

The project turned out beyond all expectations. Kevin is exceedingly knowledgeable in his craft, to include matching wood grain, finishes/staining, and jointing. His shop is well equipped and stocked to execute a vast variety of projects per customer's wishes. Kevin communicates promptly and particularly, resolving any questions or concerns a client has throughout the life of the project. With my project in particular, some life issues had risen that delayed the project; likewise, the budget was somewhat higher than I anticipated or was hoping to spend. Nevertheless, I would readily do business with Kevin again, and would strongly recommend Kevin for modern, contemporary, well-crafted furniture and home decor - pieces that would bring life and class to your residence, and would last for many years.

We contracted with Kevin to make a dining room table and six chairs for us. We showed him a picture of what we wanted in a somewhat scaled-down version. It had some complexity but he was eager to do it. We were excited about the project but, quite honestly, were somewhat disappointed with the result. Positives: Kevin is a very good guy. He is honest and wants to do the right thing. He made some creative suggestions about adjusting the design, and we liked and agreed to them. It is evident that he is a skilled craftsman. Negatives: The project was frustratingly and, in our judgment, inexcusably late. Delivery was to be made in four months. The table took six months, the chairs seven. Kevin had some technical difficulty with the chairs, and we agreed to a design adjustment that would eliminate the difficulty. The unfortunate result is that the chairs are too deep and we will need lumbar pillows to make them more comfortable. He also had some difficulty getting the stain right, with the result that the silver table and chairs we wanted are actually rather blond. Overall assessment: The table and chairs are well made and look nice, but they aren't what we envisioned. I'm not quite sure what went wrong because Kevin is skilled and appears to listen. Maybe he became as frustrated by the continuing delays as we did, but for whatever reason, the furniture, while nice, didn't align with our expectations and left us a little disappointed.

Working with Kevin was a very good experience, communication was great and his expertise and ideas were right on with what I wanted. He created a beautiful table and a piece that can be handed down as an heirloom one day. We absolutely love our table!

From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Kevin. He took our input during the design process, gave some great advice for details and dimensions and the cabinet he created far exceeded our expectations. It is a piece that we will keep forever. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

Kevin was a pleasure to work with. He is an honest guy and takes pride in his work. He did provide regular updates on the project status and personally delivered and assembled the bed for us. I'd go back to him if I needed some other furniture.

Kevin's work is top of the notch. He is very honest with his timeline and he is responsible for his work. I worked with many other crafters and I learned it is very difficult to receive good work with tight schedule. However, Kevin was totally capable of pull it off. I am definitely coming back again if I need wood crafting work.

Incredibly happy! Absolutely perfect to every last instruction. We loved the bed Kevin made for us so much that we afterwards ordered matching night stands, and they are absolutely perfect. It is a real pleasure working with Kevin, can highly recommend it.
