Shopping & Discovering Products

Everything on Maker Marketplace is handmade and custom. You can browse by category from the homepage (Fine Furniture, Home Goods & Furnishings, etc.) or use the search bar to look for specific items, materials, or styles. Each listing includes the maker’s profile, pricing, photos of past work, and customer reviews. You can also click “Browse Makers” to explore artisan profiles and filter by specialty or location to find a maker near you. You can contact that artisan to get a conversation started about what listings you like, and what you might want to customize. Start browsing at maker-marketplace.com.

Maker Marketplace offers both options. Many makers list finished products that can be purchased immediately or almost immediately — just like a standard online shop. Additionally, if you want something made specifically for you, you can use the “Start a Project” feature to submit a custom brief. This connects you directly with multiple prospective makers who can bring your vision to life through collaborative dialogue. You choose the path that works best for you. Get started at maker-marketplace.com.

Maker Marketplace is designed for direct buyer-to-maker communication with no intermediaries. Once you find a maker whose work interests you, you can message them directly and exclusively through our platform. This is especially useful for asking about materials, dimensions, customization options, timelines, and pricing for bespoke orders. The direct connection is a core feature of the platform — you are building a relationship with the person who will actually make your product.

Prices on Maker Marketplace vary widely depending on the type of product, materials, and complexity of craftsmanship. Smaller goods such as handmade bowls, holsters, or game boards start around $100–$500, while mid-range pieces like custom dining tables or wall art typically range from $500–$10,000. High-end bespoke furniture such as custom reception desks or conference tables can reach $8,500 or more. Given all products are handmade by skilled artisans, prices reflect the time, skill, and materials involved — not factory markup.
