Black Walnut Writing Desk
This desk was made for a client in Ct from a Walnut tree which was struck by lightning in Lincoln, Vermont. We salvaged, milled and dried the lumber to make this desk. The large knotholes and lightning cracks are filled with a colored epoxy which when backlite give the impression of a firey red lake on the surface of the desk.

I am a skilled cabinetmaker and woodworker. I do a wide variety of projects each of which are individually designed and built. My work includes but is not limited to kitchen cabinets, bath cabinets, bookshelves, built-ins of all types, fireplace mantels, entry doors, beds, and tables. I also offer more specialized work such as curved hand-railing and spiral stairs. I am proficient at two and three dimensional computer design. And I am also an accomplished woodcarver. All my work is custom and unique to each client and I always strive to achieve a high standard efficiently.
