this coffee table is made from douglas fir wood salvaged from the hammonasset pier in madison, ct. the beach was pretty torn up by hurricane sandy and much of the wood was saved. the wood was not treated with any chemicals during its past life. it's about 30" in diameter and stands 18" tall on hand made legs made steel.the wood has been finished smooth and natural with a light coat of a low voc water-based polyurethane. if you like this wood and this look but this table doesn't suit your needs, drop me a line and i may be able to make exactly what you need. shipping will be via greyhound express (you pick it up at your nearest greyhound bus station, so make sure that's doable). local deliveries and pickup are always an option. contact me to discuss prior to purchase. thanks for looking, tim
A Maker who has been a valued part of this community for several years.
Customers say that this Maker ships promptly after completing a project.
This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.
I am an independent artist/artisan working exclusively in reclaimed, recycled, upcycled and found materials.
i make the useless useful again. i make worthless things priceless.
from conception, to making it to sweeping up, i am a one-man operation - by design.
my work is not for everyone. my customers are people who want truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are made fairly and ethically from locally salvaged materials - with as small a footprint as i can muster.
i will make and ship things all over the united states (depending on size) but i prefer to work regionally (Boston to NYC and thereabouts).
listed on this page are some pieces i've made for others and some pieces i have available for sale. but what i really want to do is design and make what YOU want. let's do it!
be good,
tim
