i always wanted to weld a chain together so it would look like, well, this! glad i did. hope you like it, too. a 14" is, local walnut tree slice balances about 36" off the ground on this steel chain stand. it has been welded still - but don't stand on it to change a light bulb! seriously, it's plenty strong to place drinks, play cards, put a lamp on it, whatever. but it does get a little bouncy if you lean to hard on it! but who cares, right? look at it! oh, i have some sort of matching stools that might interest you, too: http://www.etsy.com/listing/207901675/short-stools-side-tables-made-of?ref=shop_home_active_14 shipping will be via greyhound express. that means you need to get it at your nearest greyhound station. or you can pick it up here. i might even be able to deliver. contact me to work all that out. I am an independent artist/artisan working exclusively in reclaimed, recycled, upcycled and found materials.

from conception, to making it to sweeping up, i am a one-man operation - by design.

my work is not for everyone. my customers are people who want truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are made fairly and ethically from locally salvaged materials - with as small a footprint as i can muster.

i will make and ship things all over the united states (depending on size) but i prefer to work regionally (Boston to NYC and thereabouts).
