Vintage Style Buckram Ivory Cloche Wedding Hat
Custom made couture quality bridal or gala event women's cloche hat. Vintage inspired and made using traditional fabrics and millinery techniques. The hat base is made from 100% cotton buckram fabric and is hand formed over a wooden hat block. The buckram crown and brim of the hat are covered in a textured shantung nubby ivory fabric. I have applied a Alencon lace applique with glass beads, sequins and pearls in ivory. There is a draped ivory satin band around the crown with highlights of a elaborate swirling stylized rose. The brim and the inside of the crown have been wired for security and form. This hat can be recreated in your color and size. Contact me for illustrations on how to measure your head.

Gail's Custom Hats
I have always been a maker of things. My first memory of making things was when I was a little girl. I would cut up old sheets while sitting on the living room floor and try to figure out how all the pieces could be fit together to make something. My fascination with fabric has never been far from my mind. I have always had needle and fabric in my hands. I started designing my own cloths in Jr high and never stopped, some 40 years ago. I have always had a love for hats. When I discovered the internet I knew I could now make and sell my hats. I am so excited to have found a place to share and grow my love of hats.
I offer custom made and ready to wear hats. Hat designs from the 1900's Victorian era past the Roaring 20's flapper days and beyond the World War II Bombshell hats. A hat shop dedicated to the fashions of the past with a connection to the styles of today.
