READY TO SHIP Victorian vintage style wedding, bridal hat made in a soft pink Georgette, a heavy chiffon fabric for summer, elaborately detailed in soft shades of pale and dusty pinks. I created this hat by studying a Victorian Millinery Course book dating back to 1915. The hat is made using traditional millinery techniques in which buckram, stretched over a vintage wooden hat block to form the shape of the crown and is wired for strength and stability. It is then covered in a hand sewn layer of Georgette fabric and Chantilly lace. The crown has a satin ribbon band covered in a floral Alencon lace. The brim is also made in buckram and is wired. The brim has several layers of the Georgette which again are hand sewn onto the buckram form. I have handmade all the flowers and carefully sewn them onto the hat. The crown has a satin ribbon band covered in a floral Alencon lace. The brim which measures 15" from back to front is covered in several layers of the pale pink Georgette, edged in a matching hand sewn satin binding. This hat is a beautiful accompaniment to a vintage wedding dress or as an accessory for a Victorian affair, special event, garden party or tea.. This hat is ready to ship in size …..MEDIUM…. If you need help in measuring your head contact me for photo instructions. This hat will be shipped by next business day. Turn around for custom orders is 5 business days. I have always been a maker of things. My first memory of making things was when I was a little girl. I would cut up old sheets while sitting on the living room floor and try to figure out how all the pieces could be fit together to make something. My fascination with fabric has never been far from my mind. I have always had needle and fabric in my hands. I started designing my own cloths in Jr high and never stopped, some 40 years ago. I have always had a love for hats. When I discovered the internet I knew I could now make and sell my hats. I am so excited to have found a place to share and grow my love of hats.

I offer custom made and ready to wear hats. Hat designs from the 1900's Victorian era past the Roaring 20's flapper days and beyond the World War II Bombshell hats. A hat shop dedicated to the fashions of the past with a connection to the styles of today.

The hat was beautiful and my girlfriend loved it. It would gain on being packed in a hat box, hence the missing star.

I contacted her via email and she immediately responded to me that she could make the hat in the colors that I wanted. She had the hat done in a week and shipped to me promptly. I received so many compliments on that hat! It fit perfectly and I felt like a princess wearing it! Thank you Gail!
