I saw this 2.5'' thick Ash flitch at the lumberyard and had to buy it. It was begging to be made into a table. This type of free-form furniture is my favorite way to build, letting the shape of the wood and the flow of the lines dictate the structure. The legs are hand-shaped solid walnut, held in with a walnut pin and maple wedge. No hardware was used. For sale! $1800.
