These lights and sculptures were developed and shown at a recent art show. When it comes to folded sheet forms, the possibilities are endless. Each shape suggests something else, and pretty soon I run out of either time, paper or coffee. The angular structure on the table is actually a light that can be either free-standing (pictured) or hanging. The polycarbonate sheet has a lenticular design imprinted on it, so the pattern appears to move as your point of view moves. The rest are made with watercolor paper, which is thick, supple, and holds its form well after dampened or treated with stiffeners.

I make mostly lighting, paper sculpture and some furniture. I love the possibilities of sheet materials like paper, metals, veneers and some plastics I like shapes that are rigid enough to remain standing on their own.
I also love using found materials and trying to figure out what they are trying to suggest to me.
