Reclaimed Wood And Steel Reception Desk
This reception currently resides at the Kensington Metro Park Nature Center outside of Detroit, Michigan. It is wrapped in reclaimed mixed hardwoods salvaged from a local barn in West Michigan. Some of the wood types include; oak, beech, maple, cherry, hickory, and elm. The work surface is clear powder coated sheet steel. The front transaction counter is cut from a single 1x14" piece of beech. Acrylic accent panels infused with twigs, reeds, grasses, and ferns, are set on 1" aluminum offsets giving the surface more depth and connect is to its natural surroundings outside the nature center.
