Wood Bench
Wood bench made from lightly toned ash and dyed and stained curly maple. The ash has been lightened with the addition of a small amount of white pigment in the clear coat. The black top is made from curly maple, sometimes called 'fiddleback'. It is very active, with highlights and lowlights. It has been dyed, then glazed with additional color coats. Bench measures 43"L x 14" W x 17" H. This is representative of this special order piece. There will be slight variations in appearance as every tree, and every board is different.

I have been building furniture and making
limited edition accessories since 1990. I received formal training in England, and currently share shop space in a cooperative studio in St. Paul, MN.
My work is a mixture of custom furniture and limited edition accessories. I have a line of jewelry boxes that are in stock and ready to ship. I also produce several set designs of small tables and benches.
In addition to the residential furniture and accessory pieces, I also have completed a number of liturgical commissions. I strive to produce designs and render pieces that are simple, nuanced, and enduring.
