About Our End Grain Boards: To achieve the End Grain, the wood is cut into strips, glued together and then cut again anywhere from .5" to 3.0", depending on the thickness desired. It is then flipped on its side to expose the End Grain and then glued together once more. Once the surface is finished, the End Grain makes the board more durable and easier on the knives, minimizing how often they need to be sharpened. With proper care, these boards can be used for generations to come. All of our Cutting Boards are assembled with FDA approved materials and are sealed with natural beeswax and food-safe mineral oil leaving a silky wax barrier that locks in moisture to prevent drying and cracking. She's Got Wood!
I began my creative journey at a young age always drawing, painting and assembling things. I visualize something in my head and then let my hands do the rest. I just recently started working with wood and found that it is my passion. I love everything about wood, from its appearance of the grain to the smell when it's being cut for the next project.
I have made a number of Cutting Boards, Butcher Blocks, and other crafty stuff for my friends and family. To my surprise, None of my boards have ever seen a knife. Instead they are displayed as a work of art. Recently, a friend suggested that I offer my works for sale and I thought… Why not??? I hope you enjoy my work.
