Lamps here include turned and carved wood lamps, among them twisted juniper; Arts and Crafts and stained glass lamps; industrial pipe and steel desk lamps with dimmers; mid-century designs; and upcycled lamps made from wine bottles, a boat propeller, a telephone pole and vintage flashlights. Listings show brass dimmers, lamps made to take LED bulbs, and shades in glass, paper and burlap.
Wiring and parts
Ask the maker which wiring, socket, switch and cord they use, and whether those parts are UL-listed.
What sets the price
A listing's price is usually a starting point. Half of the listings here are priced between about $170 and $790, with a median near $370, and one in ten is priced above $1,750. Size, materials, glass or metalwork, the shade and the switch or dimmer set the price of a commission.

Describe the lamp with the materials, size, budget and date you have in mind, and makers who do this work send proposals. You pay a 50% deposit on the one you approve, see the finished lamp by photos, video call or studio visit, and pay the balance once you approve it; Maker Marketplace holds that payment while it ships.
