Representational Stained Glass Memorial Window with Fused Glass Elements- Katie's Window
This piece was commissioned to honor and celebrate a beloved librarian. Her colleagues and friends brainstormed all of the many things that were dear to her and that reminded them of her: the favorite tales she loved to share with children; she was a niece of Georgia O'Keefe; she always wore red socks, etc. Stained glass, fused glass, mica inclusions and copper overlay techniques were incorporated to create this story of a story teller. It is installed in the library she loved so well. And so, her story goes on.

My passion for glass germinated in the cathedrals of France, developed roots in Hawai`i and is now branching out in Oregon. Commissioning artwork is very rewarding.
