Plant stand built of lumber reclaimed from a Detroit house. Very sturdy lap joints and doweling will hold considerable weight and last for years. 9.75" x 9.75" at top, 10.75" x 10.75" at base. Overall height is 31". This piece can be made in any species of wood and at any size. Most species of wood are only available as new lumber (not reclaimed). Discounts available for multiples.

I am proud to be producing my work in the City of Detroit, whose history is rich with innovations in design and manufacturing. Many Hog Island pieces are made with lumber reclaimed from deconstructed Detroit homes.
I am also committed to environmental sustainability. Using reclaimed or scrap materials reduces landfill waste and the demand for timber. More importantly, Hog Island products built to last. The most sustainable pieces you own are the ones you never need to replace.
