About China Cabinets
China cabinets here include traditional and cherry designs; corner cabinets and corner china hutches, some painted in a colonial style and some mirrored; Krenov-style cabinets; a Shaker linen press; Mission curio cabinets; Japanese-style cabinets; steel-and-glass cabinets; farmhouse styles; and buffets with matching wall cabinets. Listings show lighted interiors, beveled glass doors and shelves, and upper and lower sections with adjustable shelves.
What sets the price
A listing's price is usually a starting point. Half of the listings here are priced between about $2,600 and $9,300, with a median near $5,000, and one in ten is priced at $15,000 or more. Size, wood, glass doors and shelves, lighting, carving and finish set the price of a commission.
Before you start

- Count and measure what you'll display: plates, platters, stemware and serving pieces.
- Decide on glass doors, glass shelves, a mirrored back or lighting.
- Choose a wood and finish to match your dining table or other furniture.

Describe the cabinet with the materials, size, budget and date you have in mind, and makers who do this work send proposals. You pay a 50% deposit on the one you approve, see the finished cabinet by photos, video call or studio visit, and pay the balance once you approve it; Maker Marketplace holds that payment while it ships.

Yes. Listings show lighted interiors, beveled glass doors and shelves, and papered or mirrored backs that set off what's inside. Tell the maker where the nearest outlet is, how you want the lights switched on, and what you'll display, so the lighting and the shelf spacing suit your pieces.
Measure your largest platter and the tallest pieces you'll display, such as pitchers or stemware, and count your plates and serving pieces. Then measure the wall, the ceiling height and the depth you can give up in the dining room. With those, the maker can set the shelf spacing, and adjustable shelves let you change it later.
A corner cabinet or corner china hutch puts a corner to use, and listings include painted colonial and mirrored designs. A full-width china cabinet holds the most. A buffet with a matching wall cabinet gives you a serving surface with display above. Measure the wall or corner, and tell the maker how you serve and entertain.
Each proposal states the maker's timeline before you pay a deposit.
